Retail in Asia (Part of Bluebell Group) – Editorial & Marketing Intern

During my time at Retail in Asia, I worked across editorial, newsletters, events, and social media, supporting the publication’s role as a leading source of retail intelligence in Asia. My responsibilities included:

Newsletter & Editorial
• Prepared and published a tri-weekly newsletter, which I later redesigned to improve readability and engagement (+10% more views).
• Published 10+ short-form articles weekly, covering retail, fashion, and business news across Asia.
• Conducted and published interviews with industry leaders, both online and offline in Hong Kong.

Social Media & Content Design
• Created and posted branded content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
• Designed graphics for stories, carousel posts, and campaigns, aligning with RiA’s branding.

Events & Partnerships
• Attended and co-organised retail industry events, providing editorial coverage and promotional support.
• Coordinated the Retail in Asia x Google Cloud webinar series — handled partner communication, prepared promotional materials, created UTM tracking links, and managed social media campaigns.
• The collaboration attracted strong industry attention and positioned RiA as a thought leader in retail innovation.

This internship gave me hands-on experience in editorial workflows, event coordination, and digital marketing, while sharpening my ability to blend journalistic storytelling with strategic brand communication.
